Public bug reported:

Although the icon is correct in the Launcher itself, it's just the
generic grey cog one when the application is in the sidebar.

Renaming the file /usr/share/applications/openscad.desktop to
org.openscad.openscad.desktop, as mentioned in this bug report
(https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/4505), fixes the problem.

Ubuntu 24.04.2
Gnome 46
Wayland
Openscad 2021.01-6build4

The attachment shows another application with the same incorrect grey
cog icon and Openscad after the .desktop file is renamed.
