Public bug reported: Although the icon is correct in the Launcher itself, it's just the generic grey cog one when the application is in the sidebar.
Renaming the file /usr/share/applications/openscad.desktop to org.openscad.openscad.desktop, as mentioned in this bug report (https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/4505), fixes the problem. Ubuntu 24.04.2 Gnome 46 Wayland Openscad 2021.01-6build4 The attachment shows another application with the same incorrect grey cog icon and Openscad after the .desktop file is renamed. ** Affects: openscad (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Captura de ecrã de 2025-05-25 15-56-24.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2111665/+attachment/5880238/+files/Captura%20de%20ecr%C3%A3%20de%202025-05-25%2015-56-24.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2111665 Title: Wrong icon on launcher in Gnome Wayland To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openscad/+bug/2111665/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
