Public bug reported:

I suggest importing updated zram-config from
https://git.launchpad.net/~eugenesan/+git/zram-config

This will resolve majority of the open bugs and improve performance.

By default the package behaves identically to the current version in
Ubuntu archives.

Performance was fine tuned for systems with 8GB+ of RAM but it still
performs better than the current version even on lower spec systems.

With optional features (zswap and /tmp@zram) enabled it utilizes modern
Kernel features and significantly improves performance and reduces disk
wear.

I wouldn't recommend enabling /tmp@zram by default but zswap can be
enabled to replace swap@zram on systems with disk swap enabled.

** Affects: zram-config (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
