Public bug reported:
I've upgraded two Intel NUC systems from Oracular to Plucky.
They had essentially the same packages installed before the upgrade.
One of them decided to remove scribus, and took 20mins to run the "Searching
for obsolete software" part.
The other did not remove scribus, and took <2mins to run the "Searching for
obsolete software" part.
(The dist-upgrade log for *bnoth* systems did actually contain:
MarkDelete scribus:amd64 < 1.6.3+dfsg-0.2build1 @ii K Ib > FU=0
)
When I did install scribus again the issue seemed to be related to this:
The following packages will be REMOVED
libqt5gui5-gles libqt5quick5-gles libqt5quickparticles5-gles
The following NEW packages will be installed
libqt5gui5t64 libqt5opengl5t64 libqt5quick5 scribus
0 to upgrade, 4 to newly install, 3 to remove and 0 not to upgrade.
I'll attach the full scribus install log, and the dist-upgrade logs from
both systems next.
NOTE that for this I used the update script supplied in Bug 2106202. But
earlier I had upgraded another NUC using the standard script and that had also
removed scribus.
