I got feedback about this, updating the bug to keep it all in one place. [1] is the latest patch set in discussion for TDX/SNP without relying on the 2 workaround patches.
There was a chance mentioned that there conflict with in-place conversion work - depending on all of that we need to pick, options we expect: a) all settles, upstream accepted and matching to the qemu in 25.10 without huge changes - apply it then b) a variant of this series lands as acceptable interim solution until the other rework is complete - if matching to the qemu in 25.10 without huge changes c) neither (a) nor (b) are complete, keep the current workaround. As you see this is still in-flux, we have to revisit this every now and then. For 25.10 (c) might still be an option and we all hope that towards the 26.04 (aiming at qemu 10.2) will have the final version. Adding a questing task to track that [1]: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2025-04/msg01036.html ** Also affects: qemu (Ubuntu Questing) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Christian Ehrhardt (paelzer) Status: Fix Released ** Also affects: qemu (Ubuntu Plucky) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu Plucky) Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu Plucky) Assignee: (unassigned) => Christian Ehrhardt (paelzer) ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu Questing) Assignee: Christian Ehrhardt (paelzer) => (unassigned) ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu Questing) Status: Fix Released => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2097517 Title: Close the gap to support AMD SEV SNP for Nvidia H100 cards in plucky To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/2097517/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
