This is probably due to either: * Lacking hardware cursor support in the Nvidia driver; or * Copying part of each frame from the iGPU to the dGPU is too time consuming in low power modes.
You should be able to avoid both issues by ensuring the external monitor is wired to the iGPU instead of the dGPU. To do that, just don't use the HDMI port and use a USB-C to HDMI cable instead. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2107708 Title: Mouse lag on external monitor when using Nvidia on-demand GPU mode in Xorg To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-550/+bug/2107708/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
