I second what Brian said, there is no need for the User to show held packages for whatever the reason may be (and is annoying to show them as "pending updates").
And not because I am Beginner in Linux world (I use Linux since 2000, and SysAdmin as well), but because I have my clients with many workstations running a variant of Ubuntu (KDE neon) and this gets annoying (more for a "normal" user) and for me too, since I've developed a Monitor system that informs me important stuff (like updates, among others things). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1988819 Title: When apt keeps back packages due to phased updates, it should list them separately To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1988819/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
