Just had this failure happen again.... this time I was using Ubuntu for a good 10 minutes without issue when it then began starting to go funny. I managed to get a terminal window open but it took many attempts at trying to type "journalctl -b0 > journal.txt' because Ubuntu kept pasting old clipboard text into the terminal window at the same time.
However eventually I ran the command generating a log file on the desktop, after which I rebooted Ubuntu. Unfortunately (this is another bug) Ubuntu do NOT save that log file that was on the desktop. (I have noticed many times that after supposedly saving files to SSD, Ubuntu does not always write them out.
