There are a few issues there:

* Permission denied happens more often with cursor-only updates than
primary plane updates. And seemingly mostly happens to the login
screen's gnome-shell instance (which is correct if it has since started
the user session). If permission denied on cursor updates is somehow
causing this bug then you might be able to work around it by adding
MUTTER_DEBUG_FORCE_KMS_MODE=simple to /etc/environment and rebooting.

* The VT is changing from 2 to 6 in each log. Are you using Ctrl+Alt+F6
to manually recover?
