Public bug reported:
In Noble (Kubuntu 24.04 LTS), zlib as used by pngcheck(1), is warning
about a version mismatch:
$ pngcheck -v
PNGcheck, version 3.0.3 of 25 April 2021,
by Alexander Lehmann, Andreas Dilger and Greg Roelofs.
Compiled with zlib 1.2.13; using zlib 1.3.
[...]
$ pngcheck /usr/share/pixmaps/ubuntu-logo.png
zlib warning: different version (expected 1.2.13, using 1.3)
OK: /usr/share/pixmaps/ubuntu-logo.png (512x512, 8-bit palette+trns,
non-interlaced, 92.5%).
$
Whilst nothing seems to be going wrong, the warning exists for a reason.
I'm filing this against pngcheck rather than zlib since *NO* other PNG-
related tool has (yet!)issued a similar warning; As far as I can recall,
none(?), not even pngcheck, did in Focal(Kubuntu 22.04 LTS); and I
suspect a simple rebuild of pngcheck will suffice to resolve this issue.
