Since the kernel update to 6.8.0-57-generic the problem is almost solved for me. I have booted the laptop many times, and each time the system ends up with a black screen.
But every time, I am able to do CTRL-ALT-F2 followed by CTRL-ALT-F1 (meaning: switching to console and back to GUI) and the GUI appears immediately. The system is fully functional after this. ** Tags added: jammy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2092703 Title: Ubuntu 22.04 fails to start after kernel update to 6.8.0-50 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2092703/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
