Thanks. I can see VLC using lots of CPU and memory, but that's just a VLC problem. I recommend instead using 'mpv' instead:
sudo apt install mpv vainfo intel-media-va-driver-non-free vainfo # check it is working mpv MOVIEFILE There are also: * Crashes in your kernel wifi driver (88XXau) which may be causing stalls. * A number of Chrome tabs open consuming significant RAM and CPU so you should close as many as you can. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2107235 Title: pc freeze for a seconds, vlc lag, terminal lag, chrome lag To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2107235/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
