Just throwing something here...

Since uou mentioned vm_rnd_bits, and its kernel docs says it is related to 
address space randomization, maybe disabling address space _layout_ 
randomization (same thing?) might help? 
This can be done per process, iiuic, so perhaps it could ve done by the package 
build scripts. See 1 for a quick reference (untested).
