Hello! Although the author of the upstream package is a well known ROS developer, this package does not look like a ROS package except for its package.xml (which is ROS-related metadata) and its build-dependency on the catkin build tool (the official ROS 1 build tool). It was never released for newer versions of ROS 2 and it seems it's not listed in the system dependencies index so probably no ROS 2 package uses it https://index.ros.org/search_deps/?deps=serial If this package is needed in new versions of Ubuntu, the best approach imho is to remove the buildtool dependency on catkin. It seems it was already done here in this patch https://sources.debian.org/patches/libcxx-serial/1.2.1-5/0001-build-Fix-packaging-issues.patch/ where they only kept catkin for the testing step. Who should propose to change our reference source code to get the fix-packaging-issues patch?
