Public bug reported: Issue: ---------- Subiquity crashes due to a failure of the sfdisk command during the installation of Ubuntu 24.04.2 Desktop on ESXi.
Steps to Reproduce: --------------------- 1. Create a VM in ESXi 8.0 or ESXi 8.0.x with an lsilogic SAS disk, 4GB of memory, and the other default settings. 2. Mount the ISO file ubuntu-24.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso to the VM 3. Power on the VM and follow the OS installation wizard to install Ubuntu Desktop 4. During the installing, subiquity crashes due to a failure of the sfdisk command. Please refer to the attached screenshot "sfdisk_fail.png" for detailed log.
