I previously used the latest mainline kernel but experienced the same freezing issue, as well as another issue: my computer did not detect my external monitors, so I switched to the latest kernel I could find which fixed the monitor issue (but not the freezing issue). I just tried the mainline kernel again and experienced the same monitor issue. Please let me know how I should submit a bug report for the external monitor issue on the mainline kernel.
