Hello, I'm experiencing the exact same performance issue described in this thread with the Tiling Assistant extension on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
When using side-by-side window arrangement, I experienced significant system performance degradation. The interface became nearly unusable, with noticeable slowdowns and visual glitching across applications. It happens with firefox, terminal, bitwarden, etc. I found out that disabling the extension immediately improve the performances. My system details: - Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat) - GNOME 46.0 running on Wayland - AMD Radeon RX 6400/6500M GPU - Kernel 6.8.0-56-generic Hoping this additional data point helps track down the issue.
