Hi, a few questions to help us looking into that. #1 isolate it better when it changed
So far you seem to have two results 1. What is in noble (failing) 2. latest upstream (working) Do you have access to any in between builds so we can isolate when a fix might have landed upstream? If you have more, give them a try as well. But if not it would be helpful if you could at least try the versions in oracular (2024.05-2ubuntu0.1) and plucky (2025.02-3ubuntu1) #2 how exactly do you call things To make repro work out well it would be great if you could list all steps from a bare Ubuntu system to your testcase that shows this behavior. Any kind of setup, download and commandline. #3 exact versions When reporting about the OVMF in noble and upstream and so on. Would you mind pointing to exact versions of the package (from Ubuntu) or exact links which you downloaded (from upsteam). #4 HW Feature Since SNP is a HW feature, would you mind outlining on which HW you see this particular behavior? => All that together will help to really have a stab at recreating and trying to fix this. Thanks in advance! ** Changed in: edk2 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2104069 Title: OVMF.fd file doesn't support SNP QEMU Guest Launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/edk2/+bug/2104069/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
