Kind of solved this issue by installing a specific version: ii wine 9.0~repack-4build3 ii wine-binfmt 9.0~repack-4build3 ii wine32:i386 9.0~repack-4build3 ii wine32-preloader:i386 9.0~repack-4build3 ii winetricks 20240105-2
which is fine, but now 64 bit apps won't run.
