Hi Michael, I had to repurpose that setup since we have a shortage of setups. I recreated a setup with the image that you had provided, and I found that it did not drop to initramfs any longer. This time, I installed the debs on 6.8.0-51, and rebooted the machine to 6.8.0-53 (the one that you provided).
I find that fnic is updated to the correct version: guest@fnic-ubuntu:~$ grep "HBA" /var/log/syslog 2025-03-18T03:51:40.034823+00:00 fnic-ubuntu kernel: fnic: Cisco FCoE HBA Driver, ver 1.8.0.0 2025-03-18T21:33:17.247733+00:00 fnic-ubuntu kernel: fnic: Cisco FCoE HBA Driver, ver 1.8.0.0 guest@fnic-ubuntu:~$ uname -a Linux fnic-ubuntu 6.8.0-53-generic #55 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Feb 7 21:55:58 UTC 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux guest@fnic-ubuntu:~$ modinfo fnic | grep -i "version" version: 1.8.0.0 I'm currently in the middle of sanity testing this image. I will have the results soon. I'll keep you updated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2097423 Title: Request to pull and integrate FDLS and fixes patches into Ubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2097423/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
