Public bug reported: Customer is seeing this: we still see Linux EFI stub failed to boot with this error:
EFI stub: Booting Linux Kernel... EFI stub: Using DTB from configuration table EFI stub: Exiting boot services... EFI stub: ERROR: Exit boot services failed. This failure won't occur when we add the kernel commandline parameter efi=disable_early_pci_dma THe linux-nvidia kernel has a SAUCE patch to increment this value from 8 to 16 but 16 is not enough for this customer. There is an official upstream patch that will bump this value to 32. commit ec4696925da6b9baec38345184403ce9e29a2e48 Author: Hamza Mahfooz <hamzamahf...@linux.microsoft.com> Date: Mon Dec 9 13:20:39 2024 -0500 efi/libstub: Bump up EFI_MMAP_NR_SLACK_SLOTS to 32 ** Affects: linux-nvidia (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2102674 Title: Bump up EFI_MMAP_NR_SLACK_SLOTS to 32 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-nvidia/+bug/2102674/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
