Public bug reported: Hello I use older PC. I setted UEFI on BIOS. I setted GPT partition table. Kubuntu is successfully booted with black screen longer time the start. I previously before Kubuntu installed Windows 10 as dual boot.
Instead GRUB menu on the start is only black screen without Kubuntu or Windows in menu. No menu exist. Not helped me these commands: sudo update-grub sudo update-grub2 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.10 Package: grub2 2.12-5ubuntu5.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.11.0-19.19-generic 6.11.11 Uname: Linux 6.11.0-19-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.30.0-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Fri Mar 14 11:36:01 2025 InstallationDate: Installed on 2025-03-11 (3 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 24.10 "Oracular Oriole" - Release amd64 (20241007.6) SourcePackage: grub2 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oracular wayland-session -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2102502 Title: GRUB not created boot menu on older UEFI computer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/2102502/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
