I am seeing this issue on 24.10. I was using wayland where something similar was happening until roughly a week ago when it got so bad that I could not log in successfully for 4 or 5 attempts. With Xorg it seemed better at first, but it appears to be just random. Just today I got the issue 3 times in a row until I was finally able to log in successfully.
