I'm in the middle of my university-exams, but I'll try to test with the Hardy Alpha3 LiveCD and with the Gutsy X86_64 LiveCD.
By the way, I am now using using the 2.6.24-386 Zen Kernel [1] because I had some trouble waking from standby with 2.6.22-14-386. With the Zen- Kernel, waking from standby and opening/closing the lid works flawlessly.
