Hello! I have the exact same problem, but on Linux Mint Cinnamon 6.4.8, what uses Ubuntu kernel.
After the installation of Linux Mint Cinnamon, my ethernet connection was not working, there's was no driver in the Linux distro for it. I installed Realtek RTL8125 driver following this: https://forum.zorin.com/t/wired-internet-not-working/5113 I downloaded the driver from here: https://www.realtek.com/Download/List?cate_id=584 But, after every kernel update I have to do it again and again, because the ethernet stops working. My motherboard is: Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite Wifi7 ICE Let me know if you need any more information.
