Public bug reported:

Hi,

for some reason I have not yet found logging in into my Kubuntu desktop
does not open the wallet anymore, and a separate requester is opened to
ask for the password, although the password is the same as the login
password.

It is not a general flaw of the machine, because the problem does no occur with
a freshly created account, just with my existing account.

I noticed that systemctl and journalctl do show two lines of error messages
that cannot be found in accounts without that problem:

journalctl -b 0 --no-pager | grep wallet

Mär 03 01:45:16 mob11 org.kde.kwalletd5[3109]: Application ' "kded5" '
using kwallet without parent window!

Mär 03 01:56:33 mob11 systemd[4394]: Started plasma-kwallet-pam.service -
Unlock kwallet from pam credentials.
Mär 03 01:56:33 mob11 pam_kwallet_init[4742]: 2025/03/03 01:56:33 socat[4742] W
address is opened in read-write mode but only supports read-only

but i don't see where to start debugging from here.
