I just saw that gzip got a new upload earlier this month disabling
hardware acceleration on s390x[1]:


gzip (1.13-1ubuntu2) plucky; urgency=medium

  * Turn off DFLTCC optimizations on s390x, they're causing decompression to
    crash with an illegal instruction

There is no bug reference or logs, I'm trying to find out what happened. In the 
meantime, I'll continue preparing this SRU.
