I confirm the bug, Ubuntu 7.10, AMD64 At the same time I am experiencing a file system inconsistency on my EXT3-file system, from which I copy files to an NTFS partition to reproduce the error. The inconsistencies were found by e2fsck -n /dev/sda2 I was unable to repair them with e2fsck -vfp, or more precisely when in recovery mode e2fsck does not appear to find the inconsistency, while e2fsck -n in a normally started session consistently finds inconsistencies, the number of which increases as I copy further files to the NTFS. Furthermore, e2fsck -n finds inconsistencies in /home/bneu/.nautilus/metafiles which may be the link to the problem mentioned in this bug report.
I would like to ask other people reporting the bug if they could check their EXT3 file systems. I am also wondering whether the problem was originally caused by the EXT2/3 drivers for Windows which I installed and started to use very few days ago. -- Gnome freezes after moving or deleting many files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164971 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
