Thank you for suggesting this improvement! Can you please explain in more detail your second bullet-point: > if you have postfix running chroot, the pid path will differ : > OPTIONS="-c -m /var/spool/postfix/run/saslauthd -r"
How would those options in /etc/default/saslauthd exactly modify the location of the saslauthd.pid file? In general, I think this kind of improvement would be a good case to be forwarded to the Debian maintainers of this package, as Ubuntu currently uses a direct import of the Debian package, and we'd like to stay as close a possible to the upstream sources. Would you mind filing a bug-report/feature-request with the Debian maintainers? https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/cyrus-sasl2 ** Changed in: cyrus-sasl2 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2098601 Title: saslauthd.service should take PIDFile path from /etc/default/saslauthd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cyrus-sasl2/+bug/2098601/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
