I can confirm that getmail6 from noble-proposed has fixed the bug for me. Test done:
install getmail6, dovecot-imapd and mailutils and follow the testplan to authenticate with key/certificate and confirm that it still fails. Added noble-proposed to apt sources. install getmail6 from noble-proposed. Follow the testplan and used getmail6 with key/certificate and confirmed that it was able to retrieve the mail. Used the other "getmailrc" file to confirm that there is no regression for users who are not using key/certificate.
