There are still Thunderbird users who would appreciate a fix to this issue, as it continues to persist on recent versions (I use 115.18.0 on Linux Mint). Thank all of you for your contributions. But when can we expect to see the result of these efforts to be released for usage? If a solution for imap-folders is (too) complicated, it would constitute a step forward to release a solution for the rest, i.e. for local and pop3-folders.
