I also experience this. It make Evolution and therefore Ubuntu unuseable. I played with running a VM just for XP/Outlook.
The fix of removeing the folder works. However then you have to wait for the emails to resync. My exchange mailbox is only about 1.2 Gigs in size. Even Outlook can handle it. I also notice that many there will be Missing emails. I will look in OWA for an email I kow I saw and there it is. But nowhere to be seen in Evolution. I just had one that I clicked the email and noticed it disappeared before I read it. Then went looking for it later and couldn't find it. Logged into OWA and its right in the inbox.
