Public bug reported: When I switch to Wayland in Ubuntu 24.04 only the standard VGA resolutions are available (1024x768, 848x480, 800x600).
My hardware: Intel Corporation DH67CL, 32.0 GiB RAM, Intel® Core™ i7-2600K × 8, Intel® HD Graphics 3000 (SNB GT2). Software: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS, Linux 6.8.0-50-generic Under xorg display all is good but with Wayland not. I have added the extra graphic resolution to the kernel, but on boot it says the setting it invalid. Kernel parameters: quiet splash video=VGA-1:1440×900@60 syslog reports: gnome-shell[12096]: Failed to use stored monitor configuration: Invalid mode 1440x900 (59.887) for monitor 'unknown unknown' ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2091869 Title: Wayland screen res for Intel 3000 SNB GT2 not detected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2091869/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
