Public bug reported: After upgrading to 24.04.1 from 22.04.4, my cable-connected headphones' microphone is no longer recognized (they were previously). Checking Settings>Sound>Input device gives only my laptop's built-in microphone (laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad P72). From one or two other reports around the web, I am not alone in this experience.
Expected behavior: Headphones' mic (connected via 3.5mm audio jack) is recognized. Observed behavior: Headphones' mic (connected via 3.5mm audio jack) is not recognized. The headphones otherwise work (i.e. I can hear computer audio through them). ** Affects: bugzilla (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: audio -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2091569 Title: Headset mic attached via 3.5mm jack not recognized in 24.04.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bugzilla/+bug/2091569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
