Public bug reported: julia-phoebe@julia-phoebe-Alienware-x15-R2:~/working/php7.0/xenial/php7.0-7.0.33$ fusermount -V fusermount3 version: 3.14.0 julia-phoebe@julia-phoebe-Alienware-x15-R2:~/working/php7.0/xenial/php7.0-7.0.33$ fusermount mount fusermount: old style mounting not supported
I've looked around a bit, and there isn't any specific solution for this online beyond "use something else like sshfs instead" I'm not confident this is actually a bug, or if it is desired that fusermount simply no longer be used at all for mounting file systems. If the latter is the case, however, there is nothing I have found to suggest that fusermount is deprecated. I would have expected to be able to use fusermount to mount a file system at a given mount point.
