Thanks for clarifying which interpretation has been applied, and what has been achieved / implemented as a result, Robie Basak. I do not intend to confuse anyone or challenge this interpretation on this bug report, since it would seem to be the wrong place.
While it is now possible to use only HTTPS supporting mirrors - which is great! - I would recommend to review the linked CVEs and to (re)consider whether those should now be treated as resolved (before the default apt repository URLs change to point to httpS supporting mirrors only). I believe it may be in Canonicals' own interest to further strengthen the distro (and file bug reports to improve defaults). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1464064 Title: Ubuntu apt repos are not available via HTTPS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1464064/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
