I also tried updating to 24.10 (clean install) and installing broadcom- sta-dkms (no bcmwl-kernel-source package on 24.10). Same issue. One thing I did note, which may or may not be relevant, is that even after installing bcmwl-kernel-source on 24.04.01, the additional drivers setup only lists broadcom-sta-dkms. I purged broadcom-sta-dkms and bcmwl- kernel-source, then reinstalled bcmwl-kernel-source. Both packages were re-installed and additional drivers showed the same name. On 24.10 there is no additional drivers entry, even after installing broadcom- sta-dkms.
