For upstream Thunderbird, we gather stats and crash reports to help improve the software. We noticed that the Ubuntu package is using the release channel in its build where it should be using the esr channel. This ends up skewing report data and it may cause issues such as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/2081726. I'll attach a debdiff.
