Thanks for the work but we decided to sync that package from Debian now.
The delta is ancient and from a time where policykit-1-gnome was used in
GNOME/our main desktop, those patches don't really have sense to be
carried on our side anymore. Other desktop environments still use the
component but things to work fine in Debian and other distribution which
suggest the changes aren't really needed. If it turns out there are new
issues with the sync we will revisit/try to forward at least the changes
to Debian
