Public bug reported: When opening multiple video files, I highlight the files then open them by right clicking and selecting either "Open with Videos" or "Open with VLC". When opening with Videos (totem) this way, only the last file is opened; on the other hand, VLC opens the videos into separate but concurrently playing windows.
However, when I right click and select "Open with Other Application" instead, then choose either Videos (totem) or VLC, I get to have a playlist that I can click Next or Previous that is sorted by file name. Is this due to something within Ubuntu itself or the said applications (totem and VLC) are just buggy? I'm using Ubuntu 20.04, and I'd also like to know if others have also experienced this in the newer Ubuntu versions.
