Public bug reported: After upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS from Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, I encountered the following issue:
When I unplug the power adapter, the system freezes completely and requires a forced shutdown. Similarly, if I start the laptop on battery and then connect the power adapter, the system freezes again. Additional details: This issue does NOT occur when running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS in live mode, which suggests the problem is specific to this version (24.04 LTS). The hardware functions correctly, so I believe this is a software-related issue in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
