There are various changes in the Debian build to accommodate Debian
needs like arch paths in lib dirs and much more. I'll keep the content
from Debian wherever there is no functional reason to do otherwise.

I'm not sure where the most final -2 on the library naming comes from.
It seems that was meant to match the packaging version as it was added in 1.46-2
But then the file names and changes only include and matter on changes to the
code, not the packaging.
I'm not going for 1.48-0 here as i can't see the reason, but 1.48 instead.
Note: This isn't package version, but package name.
If Debian does the very same, fine - if not it is the same transition form one
name to the other that it would otherwise be on a bump.
