Indeed each function is a little bit longer now, I can't pretend to be 100% sure about every change, but this could indeed be -O3 unrolling more and adding a few other changes to make the code faster at the price of some code being more verbose now.
I see more calls made, what I've seen mostly looks like more aggressive inlining over unrolling. But that still is ok. I wish I'd have more time to check this deeper, but the O3 change gives this change a reasonable reason, so I can't dedicate more time to it and call it "invalid" in regard to a bug against the package. ** Changed in: qemu (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Information type changed from Private Security to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2088447 Title: Why has qemu binary size been increasing in 1:9.0.2+ds-4ubuntu7 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/2088447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
