Hello Mathew, It seems you were correct, and I must have been missing linux-modules or linux-modules-extra packages. Running the commands: $ sudo apt install linux-image-6.8.0-47-generic linux-modules-6.8.0-47-generic linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-47-generic linux-headers-6.8.0-47-generic $ sudo apt install $ sudo update-initramfs -c -k 6.8.0-47-generic $ sudo update-grub $ sudo reboot
worked, and I am running kernel 6.8.0-47-generic with no apparent problems. Thank you for the help! What I don’t understand is why this issue would only have appeared after the update, since I would presume the same modules, albeit in potentially different versions, would have had to have been installed for previous versions of the kernel, or the same issue would have appeared, would it not? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2084695 Title: Kernel update through apt leaves the system with no working network connection.
