Hi, I believe Netplan 1.1 will not work with Python 3.5. Python 3.10 should be fine though. But I wouldn't recommend replacing the system's Python with your custom build. It would probably break everything that depend on Python modules.
Maybe you could make it work with a venv created with Python 3.10 where you'd install all the dependencies using pip. Then you'd activate the venv and build and install netplan from it. Please note that this setup is not supported and I haven't tried it myself. ** Changed in: netplan.io (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: netplan Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2083126 Title: Compile on Xenial fails when using custom python install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/netplan/+bug/2083126/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
