In 24.04 virtual machine I installed 1:24.04.9, I clicked various check boxes in the package list (i.e. unselect some packages with the mouse), no crash happened; all normal.
I executed apt list --upgradable > before, left only Vim packages checked in update-manager, and clicked install now. After completion I did apt list --upgradable > after, update-manager recalculated its view and indeed the Vim entries are now gone. 'diff before after' is correct: ---> 50,54d49 < vim-common/noble-updates,noble-security 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.3 all [upgradable from: 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.2] < vim-gui-common/noble-updates,noble-security 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.3 all [upgradable from: 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.2] < vim-motif/noble-updates,noble-security 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.3 amd64 [upgradable from: 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.2] < vim-runtime/noble-updates,noble-security 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.3 all [upgradable from: 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.2] < vim-tiny/noble-updates,noble-security 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.3 amd64 [upgradable from: 2:9.1.0016-1ubuntu7.2] <--- ** Tags removed: verification-needed verification-needed-noble ** Tags added: verification-done verification-done-noble -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2041831 Title: [SRU] Update-manager crashes when packages are de-selected with the mouse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/2041831/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
