I recently got a Lenovo ThinkBook 16+ 2024 with Intel Ultra 9 chip. I also found the touchpad to be not working. After I did some searching I found the "Goodix GT7868Q Linux Driver" (https://github.com/ty2/goodix- gt7868q-linux-driver) to be currently the best solution so far.
