But I mention it happening on d780 which contains a debian and three
lubuntu releases; none of which are encrypted...

Whilst dc7700 originally filed against is used for all types of
installs, thus encrypted is possible there... I believe I was doing a
REPLACE PARTITION install at the time it was first noticed; thus
encryption would not have been involved as we're using full-disk
encryption

This issue is PETTY, and can (in my opinion) be

- ignored, 
- or just documented (on discourse if we don't want to mess up release notes as 
very trivial).
