I encountered similar problems just now. Looking at a .edu DVD with .ppt slides with hyperlinks to music examples on the DVD. Slideshow works fine with OO, but links error out. Happened with Ubuntu 7.04 and OO 2.2.0-1ubuntu5, and (FYI) also with the latest NeoOffice on a Mac (Tiger). The MS-PPT for Mac worked fine, so it's not a .ppt bug, it appears to be an incompatibility issue. Don't have a sample file yet, 'cause the directory structure on the DVD is a little complex and I have not had time to do a simple test article.
