I removed the package linux-image-generic-hwe-22.04, the computer runs perfectly with standard 5.15 kernel.
I removed the Nvidia 8400GS additional card, then reinstalled the linux- image-generic-hwe-22.04 package. The computer runs perfectly with kernel 6.8.0-40-generic. I believe one can conclude to an incompatibility between nouveau and this kernel, probably with old cards only.
