I wish to add myself as a another user with the exact same phenomena. Move files from desktop to another folder and thumbnails appear. Some .jpeg, .pdf files do display thumbnails on Desktop while some do not with nothing apparent that is different between the files.
I would like to add this. When I take a .jpeg or .jpg on the Desktop that is NOT displaying a thumbnail, load into GIMP and then save an .XCF file of the same image. Both the .XCF file and the .jpg that was not displaying a thumbnail will start displaying a thumbnail. 24.04.1 LTS Intel Core™ i7-4770K × 8 32gb Mem Gnome 46 X11 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2064849 Title: Ubuntu 24.04 desktop icons ng image thumbnails no longer displayed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng/+bug/2064849/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
